William Edward Wyatt's son John Wyatt of Halifax VA??

Hi,  I need help verifying that John Wyatt, died c1808, in Halifax County Virginia was the son of William Edward Wyatt, died c1774, in Prince William County Virginia.  There are many places and good genealogy resources that list John as a son, but they say "presumed, considered, placed, thought" to be the son.  I have been looking for documentation of this for almost 20 years.  My documentation from myself to John is solid, but I'm missing that solid link to William Edward Wyatt.  Help solving this will be so appreciated.

thank you,

Ann Wyatt

A suggestion. See if you can locate wills for John and for his presumed brother WILLIAM EDWARD WYATT junior and see if either mentions his brother or his brother's children.
Have you tried other spellings like Wait, Waite, Wiet, and even White?
Thank you for replying.  Yes, there are several spelling variations of the name.  Most I have tried, but you did mention a couple still to look.

thanks again,

Ann
