Help locating Isaiah Dougherty, IN, IL. parents

Looking for Isaiah  Dougherty's parents.

Isaiah b.  1824 - some census reflect IN, some TN

m.  Sarah Horsey 1850 in Lawrence County IN.  Sarah had previously been married to John Robinson, and had a son named Lemuel Robinson.  Sarah's father was Lemuel Horsey, her mother Rachel Pless.

We can trace them from the marriage to their deaths, but have been unable to find Isaiah anywhere prior to marriage.  Isaiah was in Company D., 16th Reg, Indiana Vol Inf in Civil War.  One report said his paternal grandfather fought in War of 1812.  If you find this Isaiah anywhere, please let us know.  Thank you so very much.

•   What information are you getting from the grave stone?
•   Is there a parish record of Isaiah and Sarah marriage with where he resided prior to marriage or where he was born?
