Butch Smith is a Wonderful WikiTreer

Since most of my family surnames: CONANT, KATZENBACH, KOSIER, MANNING, NEWCOMER, SUTTON, TOTMAN go back to Pre-1700 in England, I decided to take the Pre-1700 certification quiz.  Amazingly, I was qualified.

Then, the very same day, I received a wonderful greeting from Butch Smith (the handsome devil).  Since I wanted to have something on my tree to respond to his email, I decided to choose my biggest and baddest brick wall.  Then I thought it might be a good idea to add something more than "unknown" to her profile.

Ta-da!  I had my first experience of breaking through a brick wall, which I would have sworn was impossible for my poor head to do.  ;)

Please check Jane's profile to discover what happened!  It's a tiny, little miracle for me.

I love the many miracles that happen every day on WikiTree. Thank you Butch for bringing another one!

Teresa, I bet you and are related since I am related to the New England Conants :-)

Actually we are!  To my knowledge, all Conants now living in U.S. go back to Roger of Salem (and further back in England).  I, of course, have the Conant genealogy books, but also have a HUGE family tree of Conants from a Roger Conant living in California.  His family came and visited me one day and over the next couple weeks we went over his chart, adding quite a few more.  Still haven't gotten them all, but that is what WikiTree is all about!

By the way, love your biographies and all the wonderful things you are doing here, too!
