Mary Ann Coll married George B. Goudie 7 Feb 1825.  They were living in Howard Twp., Kent County, Ontario, Canada.  She was the widow of Samuel Coll who died in 1821, leaving Mary Ann with three children: Lemuel, Sarah Ann, and William.  I have seen a regional history that says she was a "Sherman", daughter of either Lemuel or David Sherman.  But I can't find any supporting evidence for that.  Ideas, anyone?  Oh.... one more thing, according to all of the US and Iowa State Censuses. she was born abt 1798 in Connecticut.

I believe they were Episcopal Methodist....but could also have been Presbyterian.

I don't know when Mary Ann got to Kent County, Ontario, CA. I believe she married Samuel Coll after she got there.  I do know she was living there when she married George B. Goudie in 1825. They left there in late 1841 or early 1842 and moved the family to DeWitt, Clinton County, IA, USA...where they both died, George in 1867 and Mary Ann in 1878.  So there was not another location in between.
