I found a photo of my grandfather/mother along with his mom and my future mom at  a day a t he lake. There is no date in the picture. My mother seems to be older than 2. My great grandmother died in 1947. Are my grandparents not who I think they are? Are the dates off? How am I supposed to figure this out?

I've been in Texas almost 30 years. Do you think we  are related?
I do live in Houston, TX. If we are related, could be a possibility, but we have to dig in a little more. Maybe the link is in the past, but based on what I saw, it looks like most of those marriages they were cousins, look the last names.
Yes, I was confused by that too. I'm in the DFW area.
Let me know when you are coming to Houston, I been in Dallas many times but not in DFW. on my last job i used to travel all the states including PR. Let keep looking to see what we can find. you can text me at 281-728-0545
Matildes kids were dentists. Both treated me. Mom got all her teeth pulled by one of them. Are you on Facebook?
I know them, Pupo and Gabelo, that's the way we call them. They used to have the clinics in Bayamon. supposedly they were my father cousins. (2nd Gen).
One of them had a nurse named Socorro.
I was a kid when I lost track of them. They should be over 80 years, and maybe already retire, both of them. But when I was a kid I used to go to the Quintero Salas "Finca"
Matilde had a grandfather clock that as a kid it scared me lol. I also remember the smell of the cow poop.
My email is karenhaum@yahoo.com or you can find me on Facebook.

generally, photos don't lie (although, with today's technology, they can be falsified -- but not likely to be the case here)

are you sure you can properly identify each person in the photo? maybe a relative who looks alike?

or maybe your source dates are off? how sure are your sources?

There is a caption behind the picture. It says papi(dad), mami (mom), doña Yayita and something that's not possible to read :( The source of her bio is not me that have provided her info. It's from the family search website.
I'm confused about the number of generations you say are in the photo.

The two adults are identified as mami and papi. Are these your grandparents? or your great grandparents? Whose mom and dad are they exactly?

I'm assuming the two girls in the photo are their daughters? One is your mother? or your grandmother (or great aunt)? Who is Yayita? A sister, cousin, niece, friend? I don't recognize anyone in your tree by that name (although I'm not too familiar with Hispanic nicknames).

If you think the woman is your great grandmother who died in 1947, and one of the girls is your mother who was born in 1945, then there seems to be a middle generation missing in the timeline?

I'm afraid, I'm not being much help. Sorry.
Hi; it's ok.

The two adults were my grandparents; the two 'kids ' in the middle. One of them is supposedly my mother and the other one is my great grandmother Vicenta (she was just short) lol
