How to save entries?

I've entered the info for my father several times. It does not save. I watched the info video which says to click on the save button at the end. There is NO "save" button to click.

When you are entering data, on the persons profile page, try clicking the Edit box on the top row first.  Then fill in any fields or details.

You should have two boxes with Save Changes on the Edit page.

One is below the profile and above Edit Text on the left and one is at the very bottom of the page on the left.

Doesn't work as you describe, Chris. I went to Profile>Edit>add father. After adding info, there is NO Save box top or bottom of page.
Sorry, I thought you were adding/editing a profile and not adding a parent to an existing profile.  Once you click on the "add a parent" on the profile page, near the bottom you should get a box with "Add father for" if you click that and it doesn't seem to save, check the top of the page to see if there is a yellow line with some information as to any errors.  Sometimes there is information there that helps.
Also once you 'add a father for'  you need to refresh the pages to see any changes.
Well, it sorta worked and I have managed to get father listed and seemingly in right place. Took a couple more steps than described, which begs the question of proper procedure....is there not a standard process, rather than try this and that and see "if". One of the things in the "yellow line" was about the email--I had put mine assuming, since the info button was unclear, that should someone wish to contact me about my father, my email would be needed? But apart from that, this website seems fraught with roadblocks!
I can only say some things get easier with practice.  Every program has it's own set of clitches!
Once you get the hang of it, it will seem easy. Keep trying. The WikiTreers are good about walking you through difficulties.
