Probably not. It's possible because my own grandfather traveled from Oklahoma to Arizona in a covered wagon in 1919 or so. But there were much better/faster ways to travel. After the Civil War, use of the Oregon Trail and other cross-country wagon routes declined significantly.

I'm not finding any sources for the birthdate and place on the profile you linked. I'm definitely not finding a Charles McCoy of the correct age in Kentucky in the 1870 and 1880 census records. The person in the linked profile appears to have settled in West Virginia and died there. He and his wife do not appear to have a daughter named Thelma.
