Thanks Reeves-4890. Perhaps I did not explain properly, Elizabeth Brien is her married name. Cahill is her maiden name.

Is it possible her maiden name was used on her tombstone?

Thanks again,

Mike

Hi Mike,

To allow for easier collaboration. Would you share the profile this question regards?

Thanks
She was born Elizabeth Cahill 1884 North Dublin

Parents John Cahill and Mary Murray married 1882. John was a cooper.

John remarried to Maryanne Casson 1890 after Mary Murray’s death.

Step brothers Thomas, John, Patrick and James

Elizabeth aka Lizzie married Edward Brien in 1905. Edward was a barber.

Children, Christopher 1910, William 1913 and Mary 1915

We found Christopher on a passenger list to Canada 1927 without family

Edward Brien was killed in action WW1 in Somme, France 1916

Son Christopher’s death certificate listed mother as Elizabeth Cahill but also Elizabeth Commisky. We have been unable to find records in Ireland or  Canada regarding Elizabeth’s death or possible remarriage.

Hope this helps. Thanks, Mile
