I want to link a profile I just made to an existing profile. That's what WikiTree is for, right? But this is my first time and I don't know how to proceed. The help page says I will see "a form to send a Trusted List request" on the profile. However, I don't see any such form. In fact this profile said it's open. At least I think that's what it said, but now I can't even find the profile again to check. Could someone kindly help me?

What you do is propose a merge. At the bottom of the profile on the left side, you'll see propose a merge. Click and a form will appear. In the slot type Hyder-174. NO SPACES. Click compare to make sure it's the right pair then click the propose. The profile managers still have to approve . If there is no response you have to Wait 30 days.

Unfortunately, a profile for Jacob Hyder already exists. I have proposed a merge and you will need to approve it and then wait for one of the managers of the other profile to approve. I have removed the rejected match. When creating a profile, if there is an existing profile, you really shouldn't proceed with profile creation. WikiTree's policy and goal is one person-one profile. It takes time to get used to it all but I'm sure you'll pick it up in no time. and this is a great place to ask questions!
