Look at how well he sits his horse, and how attentively the horse's ears are toward the rider.  He really must have been quite the equestrian!

Fine  military man in the cavalry with a gracious and fearless horse. *Salute*  to the veterans in the picture. There appears not to be many leaves on the trees. Good  because it was a little cooler in that uniform made from wool. Be proud of such brave heroes. thanks for sharing a military photograph with us.
