Dear Lipkind Genealogy Manager,
I am from St. Louis and I have begun a project of finding and documenting the rabbinic lives of every deceased rabbi who served on a St. Louis pulpit. Many rabbis stayed for only a short time and moved on while others stayed and died here.
Here is a link to the full listing compiled in a “Virtual Cemetery”

Rabbi Goodman Lipkind

This stage of the project has lead me to Rabbi Goodman Lipkind (1878-1973). He was in St. Louis for 2 years at United Hebrew Congregation from 1912-1914 but he moved on. While I was able to find out that he died in 1973 in Long Beach, Long Island NY at the age of 94, I have been unable to find any reference to his rabbinic life during the missing years.
According to Ancestry.com, Lipkind was living in New Rochelle, NY in 1955. I can only assume that he was affiliated with a congregation there. Perhaps it was yours. He was also affiliated with the Eighty-Sixth Street Temple (now the Park Avenue Synagogue) back in 1915.
Is your family related directly or indirectly related to Rabbi Lipkind?
Any information you can provide will be appreciated.
Thank you.
Regards and Happy New Year.
