I am looking for information re: William George Chapman who was in the 7th Battalion, Hampshires, Isle of Wight, 1930.

If you are looking for his service record then that will be held by the MOD .If he is still living  (just about feasible) then only he can obtain such records.If he died less than 25 years ago, then you would need to have consent of the next of kin.https://www.gov.uk/guidance/request-records-of-deceased-service-personnel

If this isn't what you are looking for then perhaps you can tell us what you know about  him and where you are stuck.

Thank you so much, any advice/help is very much appreciated. William George Chapman's daughter has a photo of him in uniform titled "Isle of Wight 1930". He was born in 1906 (records show 1903), and died 1956. His daughter was only 4 years old at the time & as all other relatives have passed away, can get no other information on her Father's side of the family.  We have gone through National Archives, Ancestry & My Heritage sites to no avail. He married Susie Elizabeth New in 1939 aged 33 years and later was a messman at a naval base in Corsham, UK. Chris.
