Hello Keith.

Mary Jane was the wife of Daniel Stephens. They had a daughter named Myrtle Louisa born on 1888.

Daniel and Mary Jane had a large family according to the 1910 US Census:

(Daughter Myrtle L is 12 y/o. So this is Mary Jane's family for sure)

According to the Census, Mary Jane was born in AR, her father was born in NC and her mother in AR.

There is a great chance that Mary Jane's parents were Bastin and Louisa Curtis listed in the following 1870 US Census record. Bastin was born in NC and Louisa in AR. Their daughter Mary was 6 y/o:

I descend from these Curtises but not this particular line. I'm not sure if I've even added them to my Wikitree yet. Edward Curtis, b. 1700 came from probably Ireland to Maryland. At least one of his grandkids (in my case, Nathaniel Jr) went from Maryland to Anson North Carolina. From there they went into Tennessee (bet 1790-1800). They were also buying and selling land in Kentucky around the time they went to Tennessee. From Tennessee some went to Alabama and others Mississippi. Some Mississippi Curtises eventually went to Arkansas. When they came out of North Carolina and went to Tennessee, they traveled with a few other families - McCarty, Standley/Standlee, and Tagert/Taggart.
