Is this Thomas Jefferson Tipton the same one who died in Walker County in 1892 buried in LaFayette?

I have a Thomas Jefferson Tipton as a 1st husband of Rachel Jay of Walker County. They married before 1880 and lived in Fricks Gap and Peavine. She married Odian Castleberry after Tipton died. I am looking for Tipton's early relatives.

Thomas Jefferson Tipton Jr died 1892 in Lafayette, Walker, Georgia. Rachel Jay could have been a wife. Have a few sources missing. Haven't worked on that line in quite a while. If you have sources regarding him, please share them.
