Does the Disproven Existence Project adopt orphaned profiles with the sticker?

I recently came across two orphaned profiles, both with Disproven Existence stickers:

Lydia (Unknown) Knowlton

Jared Knowlton

Does the project adopt such profiles?  As it stands, they are an isolated pair and seem to be on no one's Watchlist.

I flagged them as disproven but they belonged to an inactive user at the time. I've adopted them as I'm one of the point people for going through the Knowlton Stocking book and cleaning house.

I added Disproven Existence as a second profile manager.
Thank you, Samuel and Ellen. This takes care of my concerns that they might slip through the cracks and be reanimated at some future date.
And thank YOU all ! It's great to know that these profiles are taken care of and won't come back to bite us :-)

Susan,

My understanding is that the Disproven Project will adopt the profiles so marked if there is not a content-area project that could otherwise manage/watch/protect it. But that the preference is to find a project with content/era expertise if at all possible.

Yes, it does, and these profiles clearly fit the criteria - they are orphaned, disconnected from any profile representing a real person, and their non-existence is clearly documented.

IF these people had existed their profiles would be covered by the US History project / Massachusetts, so it would be best to contact them and see if they would take charge of the profiles.

Thank you, Isabelle.  Had Samuel and Ellen not stepped up to provide the profiles with dependable oversight, I would definitely have queried the Massachusetts sub-project, per your advice.
Isabelle, I just noticed that you most thoughtfully retagged this question for me.  I appreciate it, since I was most uncertain in the first place how to tag it in order to garner attention from appropriate people.
