Switzerland is neither. It is in Central Europe, having 4 different populations with 4 official languages: German ~65%, French ~23%, Italian ~8%, Romansh 0.7%.

So there's no languages called Swiss? * blush*
Correct, although Swiss-German is a quite distinct German dialect.
so what do they speak in Diemtigen,Bern. Switzerland? A huge part of my family on my moms side is from there.
The Canton of Bern is 86% German and 11% French. Diemtigen is in the German speaking part.
