Question

Just looking for when my family(s) came to Canada and from where. My husband is first generation Canadian (mom and dad born in Italy), and I've found their immigration information. Just curiousity. No question. Though I have been going crazy trying to find info on my grandfather Clark. He married my grandmother approx 1937, so the records aren't released yet in Canada.

I found his obituary, but you probably have that already. 

You are right, the marriage records in Ontario are only available to 1936.  I'm thinking 1937 should be available within the next year or so, so fingers crossed that his parents are named in the marriage record.  Since you have the precise date of birth, even a middle name would be a useful breadcrumb.  

Have you checked the Scottish birth records for 1902 in Aberdeenshire?  There will likely be a number of William Clarks, but I,m not sure there would be an awful lot on 23 Mar 1902.  Maybe if you tag Scotland in this question, someone who has experience with Scottish records could offer some thoughts.

Don't give up, I'm sure you'll crack it.

Is Clark his first name or last name? There are lots of men with the Clark surname who married in 1937. If you were to provide Mr. Clark's full name and where in Canada he married in 1937, there's a good likelihood the record could be found fairly quickly.

Other information that would help, includes the name of the province, county and or city. Wife's name would also be useful.

All I have is William Clark (I know, might as well be John Smith).  Born in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.  There was family talk that he went to England to work first then to Windsor, Ontario, Canada.  My Grandmother had been deserted by her first husband and they must have had to wait the 7 years to have him legally declared dead. That's part of where I got the "1937" marriage date from. (Her first husband moved to the US, changed his name and lived well into his 90s.)
