Removal of source links from adopted profiles

So the other day I decided to prune my watchlist, not because I ceased to have an interest in the profiles but because I am headed ever closer to the 5000 watchlist recommended limit. I was overjoyed that someone adopted some of them but that joy was soon tempered when I realised that the person had removed all of the clickable links to free sources and replaced them with non-clickable references.
Before, I could click on those Familysearch sources and get the censuses open in a second and from there it was a single click to the original  image at Findmypast. Now I have to search manually every time I want to see a census on those profiles, which may still be related to other profiles I still manage. I am not a happy bunny. Why hinder research in this way? It makes no sense whatsoever. I won't be orphaning any more profiles in the future because I don't want the easy access links to information within them destroyed.

People shouldn't be removing valid data in that fashion.

Perhaps you could contact the new manager and explain nicely.  You can then go into the changes tab and restore the links.

Yes, since the URLs are preserved in the Change History, they can be restored without a great deal of difficulty.
I went into the changes tab and copied/pasted the links into the sources list so as not to revert any of the bio additions made after I orphaned the profile.
