New Privacy rules

Question

I am going to try to ask my question again on this new privacy rule.  I understand you will be removing DNA data from living people. But does this also mean that my Profile will be eliminated on that person, too? Or will I still be able to view my own Profiles and see them on my own tree? Is just the DNA data going to be removed, or is the entire profile going to be removed from my tree?

The entire profile will not be removed. If the individual is living, it will simply become unlisted. However that does not mean you cannot see the individual's data and edit that profile. Anyone who is on the trusted list for the profile can see the individual's information, but no one else can.

Does this also mean their DNA won't show up on deceased family members profiles too?? I hope not. A lot of ancestor's won't have DNA connections then if so.

That's exactly what it means.

The current plan is that any DNA test will be deleted from a living person's profile that is not managed by that person, so all DNA connections shown on ancestors profiles will disappear as well.  :-(
