I am looking for information on WIlliam Baylis 1765-1843.  he is my 5th great grandfather.  he married an Elizabeth Galloway or Turner born 1800-1850 roughly.  They had one son named George, who married either Mary Ellzey.  That is where my family tree runs into a dead end.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have "George, who married either Mary Ellzey." or who else?

Do you have a middle name for George Baylis?
Sorry, I must have deleted it.  Mary Ellzey, or a Martha C.   Also I do not have a middle name for George.  But he was born around 1794 and died 1857 in Jones, MS

Looking at the 1850 US Census, if Mary is the wife of George, she is 24 years younger than George. She was too young to have been John's mother as they are only 11 years apart.

This is puzzling.
