Do you have to make a total change of spelling in a last name at birth?  That is not just a typo.  It involves a written page change.  PARKER from PSRKER
Is it the typo in the tag - "psrker" that you want to change? You can delete the tag and create a new one.
No.  That is the way the name was spelled on the original LNAB entry on
the profile.  Lsrker-1    I went to that profile and checked edit.  It went to this
page of explainations of everything to do with names but would not change to the page to make the correction.  It is an open profile so i should have been able to change it.  Maybe a glitch in the works?
Not a glitch.  Even if it is an Open profile, only the Profile Manager (not sure about the Trusted List) can change the LNAB.

Thanks for the correction.  That makes sense.  Mkl will have to go to the
original manager and make the request, if I am understanding this correctly.
I hope he is active and makes the correction.

Welcome to WikiTree!

Can you provide more detail, and perhaps link to the profile with the typo?  That will help to find an answer.

There is one method of fixing this that i know of, and you need to be the Profile Manager to do it. 1) Create another profile for the same person, using the correctly spelled LNAB. 2) Merge the new Profile with the old profile. 3) During the merging process you'll be shown the content of the two profiles side by side. Select the information you want in the final, merged Profile. Obviously you'll select the one with the correct spelling. 4) Complete the merge. The old , incorrect Profile should now have disappeared.

Mkl seems to be a brand new member with an interest in the Parker
name.  It is one of his lineage names listed.  This may take a little while
for him to get his feet wet.
That's fine. That's what we're here for.
Everybody but Mkl seems interested in Mkl's problem.
