Under NOTE in Category: United States Navy, World War I it states "This is a roll up level category and should not have individual profiles. "  but I believe this category should have profiles.

I agree - I have a veteran who I want to use this category for. Did this ever get resolved?

No, This is still a "roll up level category"
Thank you, Kevin! I think I may never fully understand Wikitree and all it's intricacies - but I still love it, lo!

As a Roll up Category it is permissible to add a Profile to this category when the actual unit or ship in this case is unknown to the Profile Manager.

Only High Level Categories do not permit Profiles to be added. Category: World War I  is such a category and yet it has 336 Profiles attached to it.  If you know they served in W W I, you should at least know which country they served with and use the sub categories there.  That category need a major cleaning.

Are you volunteering? laugh

LOL Natalie, that'll teach me to open my big, keyboard.

Well, I can give it my full attention Natalie, but it'll give me something to do here and there when I am not updating my old Profiles.  That gets really boring after awhile.  LOL

So yeah, I'm hooked.  Just back me up when I start changing the individual Profiles and the Profile Managers come after my head.  LOL

Just one question, do you know of any sticker templates that have this as the automatic category?  That would cause a bit of a problem overall. If not, when I finish, I'll change it to a High Level Category to keep additional Profiles from being added later. Can't do that now or G2G would be loaded with complaints about this new suggestion popping up.

I think the Great War sticker might. I have to test it though.

I edited one of the profiles today, so we're down to 335! ;-)

I thought about adding {{Top Level}} but changed my mind for the same reason you have. I don't need to read any posts about errors for Top Level category use! angel
