not a question just for people who may have hit a brick wall as I have a few people in my branches that were born on Isle Of Wight and found this site very useful as found quite a bit on here

It shows who you are looking for for births, marriages and death and mother's maiden name great site

Thanks Stephanie :)
Good stuff, an aside- for those who believe that "Cooke" is the correct spelling for the English "Cook" family,  numerous Cook folk are listed with early dates.

William Rowlands came to America around 1820 with this family, so I couldn't find any thing that might help.  Thanks for the web site though. I'll keep going back.
