Found this in my connection to Meghan Markle.

It seems most likely that Ackley-843 is attached to the wrong parents based on birth place, but US genealogy is not a strong area for me, so I'm not confident in finding his real parents.

Hoping somebody wouldn't mind checking it out?

ACkley-843 (1758-1835) is attached to the wrong parents. Parents didn't leave Connecticut. There are a whole plethora of Benjamin Ackleys in New York state.

There were two Benjamin Ackleys who settled in Bradford County. One was from Connecticut and settled near Wyalusing. The other went to Bradford County from Orange County, NY, along with Amos Bennett and Richard Benjamin. The descendants of this second Benjamin Ackley have used the surname Ackley, Ackla, or Acla. There are numerous sources that refer to him as Benjamin Ackla, but just as many also refer to him as Benjamin Ackley. It is possible that the individual who connected them was not aware of this when connecting the parents.
