Looking for documents for William and Susan Jackson in Georgia before 1824

I am looking for any information and documents that show the residence, marriage, birth information, military, and/or death information on William Jackson married to Susan Unknown. I am a direct descendant of their son, Thomas C. Jackson, born in Georgia about 1824. I have his marriage record in Leon County, Florida. I also have census records of him, his wife Nancy Roddenberry, and children living on a farm in Wakulla County, Florida from 1850 on. He reports that his parents were both born in Virginia. There is a Susan Jackson, who we presume is is mother, living next door on this farm with an E. W. Jackson and Lucy Jackson who we presume are Thomas' brother and possible sister. I show many Jackson's getting land grants in Wilkes County and other counties very early on in the Georgia colony. I do not know if these are related. I would like to find more records and a link to their location in Virginia. Any help would be appreciated!

Do you know the birth, death dates, and locations for William and Susan Jackson in Georgia? This would help with narrowing down the search.
Hi David, Unfortunately I have limited information on both William and Susan Jackson. The only information comes from census records. The 1850 Census for Wakulla County, Florida shows a Susan Jackson, born in VA in 1786 (based on her age as 64 on the census), living next door to my ancestor, Thomas Jackson and his family. The other people in the household where she was living we presume are siblings of Thomas Jackson based on their ages and birth locations. Thomas Jackson reported on the census that both of his parents were born in Virginia. William Jackson is not living in this area and we presume that he had died prior to the family moving from Georgia to Wakulla County, Florida. Susan Jackson is not found on any other census in relation to the other people in her household or to Thomas Jackson and family. We presume that she died prior to 1860. This is the brick wall of our Jackson family line. I appreciate your help!

Thank you so much David for looking into this family line for me. Unfortunately, that family can't be the one I'm looking for. The family names are all similar to names that pop up through the generations of the Jackson family. Our Susan Jackson was born in Virginia around 1786. It is noted on census that her husband was born in Virginia as well.

I have my Jackson line in Wakulla County, Florida 1850 US Census.

Thomas Jackson, 24, M, (b. 1826), FL

Nancy Jackson, 26, F, (b. 1824), GA

John Jackson, 7, M, FL

Susanah Jackson, 5, F, FL

Jincy Jackson, 3, F, FL

Thomas Jackson, 2, M, FL

Next door to this family is:

E.W. Jackson, 32, M, GA

Benjamin F. Jackson, 28, M, FL

Lucy Jackson, 18, F, GA

Susan Jackson, 64, F, VA

I have Thomas and his family tracked on each census afterwards until his death in Texas. Susan Jackson does not show up on any other census than the 1850 in Wakulla County, GA. We assume that she has died prior to 1860. Thomas Jackson changes his birth location on other census afterwards, showing his birth in GA. His parents are always noted as being from VA. I do not have the death records of Thomas or his first wife, Nancy Roddenbury, or his second wife, Rebecca McGee Jackson.

Thanks again for your help!!! Janet Jackson Daghri
