Shared Photo: Amos "Big Amos" Harris and his wife (what period is her clothing?)

Amos was married at least twice, so it's currently unclear which wife appears in the photograph (they're both named Elizabeth!) and to makes things more difficult, they were both married to Amos within a decade of each other.

Is anyone here good at identifying approximate dates by clothing in 19th and early 20th century photographs?

Our options for wife are:

Eliza Young m. 1897 Boelus, Nebraska d. 1903

Elizabeth Fears m. 1908 d. 1971 (side note: I came upon this phot via Elizabeth who is a granddaughter of Civil War veteran Richard Ridgeley of the all-black 54th Massachusetts regiment)

I wanted to share this photo of Amos Harris with the community. Location: unknown. Date: unknown.

It looks a bit as though she is wearing leg o' mutton sleeves, which first came into vogue in the 1820s until the 1830s, then again in the 1890s until about 1906.

Does that help?

I think it makes it slightly more likely that wife here is Eliza Young. Thanks, Ros!
I thought it looks more like 17th century pirate.  A peg-leg here, an eye-patch there, a parrot on the shoulder and maybe a drawn sword would round out the costume.  :D
