How do I add ancestors with limited but strong documentation?

I have three records from "Scotland, Births and Baptisms, 1564-1950. Salt Lake City, Utah: FamilySearch, 2013" for the baptisms of the children of James Fullerton/Fullertoun and Mary Ncconaghy, FHL File Number: 1041085. The children are my ancestors with the oldest son, Archibald Fullerton (b. 1708) (Fullerton-253), being directly related. The parents are clearly identified by name, place and date, but how do (or should) I add them to my family tree? They would have been born circa 1680-90. I can find no further records for them at this time, but I want them recorded in my tree so that I would not forget them, and would continue to work on their details. Thanks.

Howard, I view building a profile as a work in progress, that will develope over time. It does not hurt to start out with 1 or 2 valid sources, and then as you find other sources, add them. You can put research notes below your biography noting what you are doing, what you are looking for, etc.

and take the quiz.  Then you can add the profiles for Archibald's parents.  You can give them estimated birth dates.

I'm working on a family branch right now with similar issues.  I know the names, have wills and gravesites, I just don't know exactly how they're related yet.  So. . .

I make the profile for the individual then, in the biography, connect them with internal wikitree links.  To do that, you use two brackets [[  then add the Wikitree ID you find in the yellow section of the public view page:  ex.  Smith-123 then you add a bar |  then add a name  Joe Smith  then follow that with two more brackets.  So, it should look like this:

[[Smith-123| Joe Smith]]

So, in the bio you write something like:   [[Smith-123| Joe Smith]] is also buried in the family cemetery.  . That way, Joe Smith is not lost and can be connected to the tree when you find the exact relationship.
