I believe so. Please read:

All her blogs were deleted :-( But it is in the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine: https://web.archive.org/web/20180504011543/https://iconewsblog.org.uk/2017/08/09/gdpr-sorting-the-fact-from-the-fiction/
Okay; that's just a tad creepy. I believe Elizabeth Denham is still the UK's Information Commissioner. Her blog posts were there two days ago. I wonder why they've been removed on either GDPR Eve or GDPR Day? Weird.
Debbie Kennett brought this one to my attention. It's an interesting take on GDPR from the FreeUKGenealogy organization...and WikiTree is mentioned front and center: https://www.freeukgenealogy.org.uk/news/2018/05/22/gdpr.
BTW, I've decided that either Debbie has a clone working with her (a perk of University DNA research?), or she has a paid assistant constantly monitoring genetic genealogy on the Net. I try to stay informed, but I have never, never scooped Debbie on any bit of news. Well, unless it pertains only to my own websites.... ;-)
