Skeptisim of my Dean family tree in 1400s

Hello everybody.

I have done my family tree on FamilySearch.  I'm a bit skeptical on the Dean family lineage starting at Michael Alured Denne Esquire.  Of course, they may be other errors later.

According to the list of children..one was named John Deane Jr.  Michael's grandfather was named John, and I wasn't sure if it was normal to add a Junior suffix for a grandfather.  (also note the spelling variation, although that seems normal).

My tree is well sourced to a point, but I'm not really so sure if my Super Grandpa was really Robert De Dene..which would be cool, because he was supposedly pincerna to King Edward the Confessor.

Here is my tree if it helps follow along for the Dean name.

Thank you.

Here is also a Family history of Dene where I allegedly come from

Edit: I may need to show a deceased relative -This is my Grandfather Harry Dean.  Please let me know if this does not work

I think I need to pick a deceased relative in order for you to see it?  Please try this instead

I fear you have linked two families together that probably never met - we've all done it when we get stuck and want to get further back, an educated guess becomes a gamble and we only see the positive facts that reinforce want we want to see & ignore what doesn't quite fit. Anyway, The armorial Denne family of Kent did not end up as Dean in Somerset: see Burke - Denne of Kent page 21, top right hand column: Thomas Denne & Jane Swift did have a son John, but he stayed in Bekesbourne & Patrixboune, Kent and did not have a son called Samuel. Please separate the 2 family trees if you have imported your data to Wikitree from Family Search.
