I am a profile manger for Fitzwilliam-300 which I entered wrong last name

Question

Fitzwilliam-300 is supposed to say Gerard-300.  I tried to make the change after I made mistake by entering last name wrong.  It will not let me make the change.  Looks like it now needs to be merged with Gerard-493.

I'm not sure you have a problem, other than creating duplicate profiles.  When you change the last name, you can't specify the number.  When you change Fitzwilliam to Gerard, the system assigns the new Gerard profile the next number in the sequence of Gerards.  Just initiate the merge and move on, and it will all work out.

That is a Pre-1500 profile and therefore, without certification you cannot do anything to the profile.
