Alice FItzWarin is more than a legend

Want to add Alice FitzWarin as a daughter but current draft of bio is quite firm that she is just a legend. HOP says that he had two daughters one of whom died in his lifetime. That would be Alice. [

HOP: Sir Ivo FitzWaryn]. Permission please. If done then Ivo's bio will need a rewrite. See also [

I concur. His will definitely makes reference to two sons-in-law.
The parliamentary links above look solid.
I should probably stop looking at pre-1500 English profiles as they just make me angry ...
It's very well known that Richard Whittington was apprenticed to Sir Ivo and later married his daughter Alice.
Oh no it isn't...
RJ you made me laugh
I agree that Alice was the daughter of Ives or Ivo, but he certainly wasn't 2nd Baron FitzWarin nor is there anything to suggest that Richard Whittington was ever his apprentice, or anyone's apprentice.
RJ, Opinion(s) on Alice?
The 'legend' part is that pantomime story but both Alice and Richard Whittington were real people who had no children.
Note: the PM added himself almost 3 years ago, and has never once managed the profile or has attempted any edits. The bio paragraph that is tripping everyone up is from the gedcom import from 7 years ago.
The PM is not pre-1500 certified. (Of course that would not stop him from contributing through comments on the profile or participation in G2G).
As an aside, Fulke FitzWarin featured in one of the questions on "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me" this past weekend.

Proposal. Add Alice as daughter. Consult PM who seems not to be pre-1500. Rewrite bio using material from HOP. Move the will to a free space profile so that it can be easily referenced from other profiles. Provide links to everyone mentioned in profile. Remove title. Guess I'm volunteering. Comments?

This sounds excellent, and THANK you for volunteering, C!
It looks like she's added. Shall we close this thread now?
