I have done most of my family research in England.

Now for South Africa KZN and Cape Province, any recomendations for research Data bases or even links.

Just be aware with family search that they have a lot of records for South Africa that a
are incompletely indexed. If you know the area and denomination, you may find entries, the old fashioned way by leafing through the images.
Searching this site can also be useful. In particular, I've found a lot of dates through newspaper transcripts)http://www.eggsa.org
