it says a family member is still living, but I know they are now deceased, how do I change this?

I am working on my Ray tree and it says in Raymond's obituary my grandfather is still alive. That was in 1986, my grandfather died in 1993, so how can I add him to this without it saying he's still alive?

Holly, the obituary was written in 1986, so if you change it, it makes no sense. He was alive at the time of his father's death.

I have created a profile for Ernest and if you ask to be on the trusted list, I will add you.

Holly, In Raymond's obituary, is says that your grandfather Ernest was still alive at the time of his father's death. Changing it now, as you've done, makes it confusing and inaccurate.

Rather than editing the obituary text, it would be better to create a profile for your grandfather Ernest and put his death date there. Then you can link to the two profiles together.

Herbert, I believe Holly's question was vague and unclear. Her recent edit makes her question more clear, and your advice here then not quite correct :)

Thanks Dennis.
