My direct line descends through the union of Francois Van Couwenhoven and Catherine Oliver and their son, Samuel Couenhoven (Couwenhoven). I was puzzled that WikiTree did not have the children listed for Francois and Catherine. Looking at Kouwenhoven-13 under the children of Jan Jacobse Van Couwenhoven and Saartie Frans (parents of Francois) there is a note "2. Francois bp 10 Oct 1666; married (1) 3 Nov 1709 to Catherine Oliver; married (2) 12 Nov 1739 to Mary Brouwer. ? Were there two Francois... "
I asked Tom Quick specifically about this note. He answered that there are indeed two children of Jan and Saartie named Francois and provided details with sources. He said he is investigating further including looking at the children of Francois Van Couwenhoven and Catherine Oliver. Bravo!
