I'm trying to find these two husband and wife:

Name:    John Brown
Birthplace:    Tennessee
Wife's Name:    Brown (born Kincaid) in Kentucky

Child:

Elizabeth Jane Sudderth (born Brown)
Birth:     Jan 11 1844 Bedford County, Tennessee,
Death:     Dec 22 1927 Moscow, Latah, Idaho
Husband:     Thomas Tucker Sudderth 1848-1930.

I don't have much to go on, should I give up?

I have found them on the US census records.  Thomas was the son of Allen Sudderth and Adeline Vaughn.  His marriage to Elizabeth Brown is there but her father John Brown will need more research.  Look for them on familysearch.org.  It's free but you have to create an account.
