Medieval Lineage Expert?

This is a lineage that really needs some help.   The dates that do exist on profiles do not align.   I did a simple search and did not find a lot to help with this name, we really need someone with some medieval expertise.

Who would like to take on this lineage?

how do you know they're medieval? none of the profiles in this small group have any dates, info or sources.

The WikiTree version seems to be identical to the Geni version including the same spelling choices

Le_Chievre-2 appears to be William Cheever aka Chievre who was at the Battle of Hastings.  This post has information on him:  http://www.disnorge.no/slektsforum/viewtopic.php?t=47655

I am currently traveling and will be without internet shortly thru the end of next weekend. Hopefully someone will be able to take this on. If not, drop me a note, Robin, and I'll see what I can do after I return home on 4 June.

Brilliant.  This doesn't get us very far though:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Cheever

I know... It's all the time that I have right now. It's at least a start.  ;)
I meant, the baron doesn't get us very far, he doesn't seem to have descendants.
Katherine Keats-Rohan in her Domesday People, book, has Willem Chieure (William Capra or Cheever) as the brother of Ralph de Pomeroy, and a sister Beatrice.  Sibil is the only child mentioned and she married Robert II Burdet de Cullei.

I think if we should merge Le_Chievre-2 and Chievre-5, then we might be heading towards a better idea of who these people were.

I don't have time at the moment to look at the link Darlene has posted, so not sure how Goisfred fits in.

I've merged Le_Chievre-2 and Chievre-5.

There's not much information on the link I provided, John, but it is a start.  A respondant to the post states, "Guillaume Chievre (Willhelmus Capra), who had 47 manors in Devon with approx 23,000 acres. His brothers were Ralf de la Pommeraie ( also with large landed possessions in Devon), Hugh de la Pommeraie, and Beatrix Chievre, Abbess."

I was able to locate and merge two profiles for Ralph de Pomeroy.  Also, I located this information:  http://www.genealogy.com/forum/surnames/topics/pomeroy/1358/

Gotta vamoose now . . .
