how to eliminate right indent

I was in the middle of a long profile edit when my fingers slipped on the keyboard keys and suddenly the whole profile got right-indented immediately. I am still in the editing stage. How can I return the whole profile edit to the normal left-inented in one keystroke ? Thanks

An asterisk or code in front of the very first letter could force the indent. In extreme cases I copy into notepad, and then copy it back as clean text.

This can happen very often when copying text from websites, ebooks, etc. They love indents, forced carriage returns, etc.
