How to link an "adopted" orphan entry to my tree:

Eugene Grant Campbell  (identified as orphan I volunteered to adopt) is grandfather to my husband David Lawrence Bickham, father to David's mother Bessie Carol Campbell Neeff Bickham and how do I get it connected>.  Some how I blundered into Hugh Bickham, who is the gr gr grandfather to David and want to make the connection there.  My impression was that it might be an orphan entry as well but will try to at least get the paternal line in for David posted.  Is there an easy way to get the ID numbers?

Hi Betty! Welcome to WikiTree!  Thanks for your efforts to connect families!

When you are on a profile, there are several ways to get the profile number.  What i usually do is look at my browser to see the URL address of the page i am on.  The end of the address is the profile number.  For example, when i am on my own profile, the URL is https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Smith-123128

My profile number is the end of that: Smith-123128

Hope that helps.  There are other ways, but that is my easiest one.
