if you have the ID# for the unlisted profile, you should be able to see a message that identifies the profile manager, so you can request access to the profile. It will look like this:

The profile manager, Joe WikiTree, has chosen to make this profile Unlisted. There is no public information. You can send Joe a private message.

Many profiles are being converted to Unlisted today, due to the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (not by choice of the profile manager). I hope the Team will be able to work out an easier mechanism for relatives to request access to these profiles.

I see identification of the ID# as the biggest challenge in gaining access to Unlisted profiles. When a family member is identified only as something like "[private sister (1950s - unknown)]", I suppose our best option is to contact the profile manager for a related person whose profile is visible....
Thank You...now it will take me  a little time to get use to that...I understand the reasoning behind it but think it is going to be time consuming to figure things out.

Thanks again!
