Need help linking to my mother with DNA test. [closed]

Judy, when I saw you had closed this, I couldn't help feeling disappointed for you, and decided I'd take a look - see if I could find anything, knowing it was a long shot.

A one-to-many display on GEDmatch does have some Parker's and Moore's, which *might* be a connection to your Mom's Parker and Moore ancestry.  They are all small matches, but that's somewhat expected for distant matches.  Disappointingly, there were no Chappell's at all.

Then I looked at the highest matches with a GED or Wiki symbol.  I didn't recognize anyone in the first GED.  The second GED had a Palatine Parthenia Chappell in his ancestry!  And she was born in Alabama and died in Texas in 1911!  And her father is Miles Chappell, and her mother is Priscilla Parker!  Those are your great great grandparents.  So I would say your DNA test does show good evidence linking you to your mother and her ancestry.

On GEDmatch, your match to Viking8888 (related to the Chappell's and Parker's in the second GED) is a solid 115.4cM, with segments of 31.9cM, 25.4cM, 9.5cM, and a bunch of smaller ones.  That's a good match!  He appears to be from the Dunning families.

When you add your DNA test information, it takes about 24 hours for the system to add your profile link to the profiles of your ancestors and their descendants. That is why there need to be profiles for your ancestors.
