EU project for automated transcription of old scripts

I found out about an EU sponsored project today to build a text recognition engine for old scripts: https://transkribus.eu/Transkribus/

They're in need of specimen (and transcriptions/corrections of submitted samples) to improve the recognizer, so if you have old letters and the like, that might be interesting to them, and may help you get your letters into a readable form.

Ii have done a few transcriptions with them. The more the get should help with dealing with handwriting in the future. There is a bit of a learning curve but Wikitreeers shouldn’t have much if a priblem.
