Hi Richard,
My Colbert family is related to the Calvert's, but I think you and I have corresponded years ago. I'm in the Calvert group on Family Tree DNA. I just joined this particular WikiTree group, so I saw your prior emails about the Colbert family and James Logan Colbert. You sent me an email copy of your article about James Logan Colbert years ago.
I find it strange that after all these years there's not one male descendent of James Logan Colbert willing to take the Y-DNA test, don't you? I mean a relative that is in the Chickasaw tribe. If a male were a direct descendent of James Logan Colbert, would the Y-DNA test actually show any Indian markers? Since James Logan was Caucasian and Y-DNA doesn't show anything relating to the maternal Indian line, how would that work?
Thanks
