I have checked but just need someone to confirm for me

I have the knight family born in Lingfield, Surrey but would this come under the district of Reigate as if it is the case then I have found their births earlier than what some of the census records say

Depends on the date - from 1897 to 1934 Lingfield was in the Godstone registration District

https://www.ukbmd.org.uk/reg/districts/godstone.html

Prior to that (from 1837 to 1897) it was in the East Grinstead Registration District

https://www.ukbmd.org.uk/reg/districts/east%20grinstead.html

After 1934 it became part of Surrey South Eastern Registration District

https://www.ukbmd.org.uk/reg/districts/surrey%20south%20eastern.html

If you link the profile or census, I can take a look and see if I can find the correct birth registration

this is Clara knight in 1881, I shall put her link at the top although I have not sourced her profile yet

"England and Wales Census, 1881," database with images, FamilySearch(https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:Q274-M7W3 : 11 December 2017), Clara Knight in household of James Knight, Lingfield (Surrey), Sussex, England; from "1881 England, Scotland and Wales Census," database and images, findmypast (http://www.findmypast.com : n.d.); citing p. 11, Piece/Folio 1059/24, The National Archives, Kew, Surrey; FHL microfilm 101,774,464.

Lingfield is about 4 miles north of East Grinstead and that is where Clara's birth was registered:

"England and Wales Birth Registration Index, 1837-2008," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:2X6V-P19 : 1 October 2014), Clara Knight, 1877; from "England & Wales Births, 1837-2006," database, findmypast (http://www.findmypast.com : 2012); citing Birth Registration, East Grinstead, Sussex, England, citing General Register Office, Southport, England.

I confirmed this is the correct Clara by looking on the GRO site (https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/indexes_search.asp) which gives this Clara's mother's maiden name as Skinner. The other births for surname Knight with mother's maiden name Skinner registered in East Grinstead around this time are:

Robert, Oct-Dec 1858

William, Oct-Dec 1859

Edward, Apr-Jun 1861

Delia, Jan-Mar 1863

Edith, Aug-Sep 1864

Alfred, Oct-Dec 1866

James, Apr-Jun 1869

Thomas, Aug-Sep 1871

Jane, Aug-Sep 1874

This fits perfectly with the 1881 census that you linked, where William, Edward, James, Thomas and Jane are all living with Clara and their parents.
