I was told there was native blood within my family. Looking for the connection within my Besaw line. My gr. grandfather was: Clarence Besaw born 1896 in St. Regis Falls. His parents: Alexander Besaw (born 1841) and Margaret Voudren (sp) ...with so many name variations for both last names, I have no clue where to look next...any suggestions? thanks

I will try that...thank you so much

This might be Margaret as a child - she named a son Nelson, maybe after her father?  The location is not far from St. Regis Falls.  Would take some research to confirm.

Have you been able to make that connection to the reservation? I was getting frustrated and took some time off my search. I'm back again as curiosity still overtakes me lol
