I wanted to share this photo of a 4th of July parade in Uniontown Washington with the community. Uniontown, in the southeast corner of Washington State was founded by German immigrants, including members of my family (surnames Portz, Jacobs, Triesch, Schlader, Nosbisch, Schneider, Braun). In 1900 Uniontown's streets still weren't paved but prosperity was on the horizon for its citizens. Today Uniontown sits in the middle of one of the most productive wheat-growing regions in the world and is home to 300 people.
Location: Uniontown Washington. Date: July 4, 1900. Click here for the image details page or here for the full-sized version (1621 x 845).
Fantastic photo! Thank you for sharing.
