I wanted to share this family photo of her birth register FOR my aunt Azubah Worthington with the community. She, my mother, and their brother, David, were born in Carrizo Springs, Texas, USA in 1906. This tiny desert town exists today and in 1980 the three-story brick school that the Burnett children attended was still there.
The children's father was William Ward Burnett. His friends called him Ward. It was his job to register the births of his three children. He was nearly illiterate. His wife, my Gm Edna Owen Burnett, took her two daughters to California, when she left William. He and their son followed them to California but William and Edna did not reunite.
