How do I show a live in servant

+3 votes

I have a person as a live in servant.

So far I do not know anything about her life, except things that are listed on the Census

I typically indicate them when documenting a census record.

I would show their name and their role within the family in the Biography. But when you show their name, create it as a link to their profile. I think this is helpful when you have family employees who had a significant role in raising children such as nannies and live in servants.  You may end up with an unconnected profile but it will be connected informally with the profile you created. And it will be there available to any future researchers.  In my case, there are a couple live in servants for my grandmother that were looked at as family members. Lots of pictures with us throughout her life. Those pics can be documented on her profile for her family to see if they ever link it up.
