Rachel Allen's family tree

Hey!

After spending many months knee deep in Quebecois trees I am finally back in Colonial America and I have a few questions about this lady I am connected to. Her name is Rachel and her bio was written by the awesome Mindy Silva. Man, that bio is epic. Note to self: Work on bios of your people so you can compete. If only I had the time.

I digress. Do we know anything about her parents? I ask because several trees online have it quite full. Check it out. Her parents are supposedly:

Captain Joseph Allen (1681-1750) Gloucester
Mary Allen Coit (1688-1777) Gloucester

It also goes to their parents and pretty far back. I want to add the profiles. Problem is I need the sources to back this up. I thought I had the sources at Familysearch. Now I can't find it. Someone want to help reconstruct the tree? Or construct it in this case. Any help would be good. Thanks!

Her supposed parents have trees on Wikitree:

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Coit-322

Need to find something that connects the dots. I don't want to add the parents unless I know for sure. Can anyone help me out?

Here's her birth on Ancestry:

"Massachusetts, Town and Vital Records, 1620-1988," database with images, ''Ancestry'' ([https://www.ancestry.com/interactive/2495/40143_265675__0003-00072/5764557 Massachusetts Vital Records] : accessed 30 May 2018), entry for Rachel, daughter of Joseph Allen and Mary Coit, born 26 Aug 1711; citing Town and City Clerks of Massachusetts. Massachusetts Vital and Town Records. Provo, UT: Holbrook Research Institute (Jay and Delene Holbrook).

I didn't see it on FamilySearch

The more the merrier, right?
Yep. =D
I'll bring the aphrodesiac salad. (it only sounds kinky)
Uh....Huh....
Hey, my ex said it tasted so awesome it "put her in the mood". Hence the name.

You want the recipe, contact me. I only give it to family members. :D
PM sent. This thread....took a weird turn.
Weird is one of my 6 middle names. :P
Only six?! You're slipping.
I'd have to shoot you if I told you the other 4. :P
It's like some weird Rumpelstilskin thing here now. LOL!

So far, I've found this:  http://dunhamwilcox.net/me/me_bio_allen.htm

It lists the 11 children of Capt. Joseph and Mary (Coit) Allen.

Also, the History of the Town of Gloucester mentions some sons of Capt. Joseph and Mary Coit:  https://archive.org/stream/historytownglou00changoog#page/n72/mode/2up

Well, I see Rachel as a kid there. Though, I dunno if Wikitree would accept this.

Now I am wondering about her husband's family. Same tree has him connected to a Richard Tandy and a Sarah Tipson. Not much info. Going to look them up here.

Did I notice some father/son confusion going on?
Sigh...Yes. I fixed it.
no worries. It happens to all of us. Heck, I made a match, then found sources and had to stop a merge. LOL
Yep. I think what happened was that I copied the ID # like I usually do and it went to someone else by mistake. So I had to fix all of the things. Didn't help that there were two Rachel Allens in the mix. It's fixed at least. All that matters.

Can't seem to find a Richard Tandy sr and a Sarah Tipson here. Diff parents on FS and Geni has the two. I was just told that the info may be in a few genealogy books. I'll have to Google.

Gloucester Mass town records. 1694-1762 (actually I don't find anything here)

Yep. The trick is finding the guy's parents in there.

Sometimes it is easier to find info and put it in the right profiles. LOL

Yeah it is. =)
There is a 1687 baptism in Strensham, Worcestershire, England with the father John Tandy; and 1692 baptism in Solihull, Warwickshire, England with the father Richard Tandy. I don't see migration records that might show where he was from.

The profile on Geni just says 1655 for Richard Tandy Sr's birth. Sara Tipson on the other hand has a wee bit more:  Born February 9, 1662
Saint Martin, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England, United Kingdom
