My great grandfather is Thomas John McEntyre, born1 Dec 1832 to John McEntyre and Mary Lynch in Lavey Parish, Cavan, Ireland. He left Ireland in the late 1850s and travelled to Victoria , Australia, in search of gold before settling in New Zealand where he built a home in Lake Hayes, Arrowtown, Otago NZ. He married Mary Bridget Curtin in Melbourne Australia on 31 Jan 1866 on one of his many trips between NZ and Australia. Are there any other Cavan McEntyres out there?
