Brooks family of Claiborne County Tennessee

I have been working on the Brooks family of Claiborne County Tennessee who came originally from prince Edward and Charlotte County Virginia.  I have records for all the descendants of Brooks’s who went into Claiborne  county Tennessee.  I have been searching for my great great great grandfather Zachariah Calvin Brooks father since the 1970s. His mother was Nancy Brooks Neville’s Brooks Rowlett  daughter of Bartholomew Brooks was born about 1765 in Virginia    Nancy was born 1788 and had her first marriage in 1808 to James Nevilles.  He is gone by 1820 because she is listed On the 1820 prince Edward County Virginia census  as head of household with many levels children listed.  Next the Brooks‘s all migrate to Claiborne County Tennessee.  Nancy appears as in Brooks on the 1830s census Head of household with three children.  In 1840 she is listed as wife of Mack Rowlett. His will lists Nancy’s children Laura Anna  and Zachariah Brooks by a former husband. I believe she must have married a Brooks cousin  before she left Virginia. Many of the Brooks is married their cousins in Claiborne County.  All of Nancy’s Neville’s children came to Clayburn County with her and some of them married Brooks’s   Does anyone have any solution to finding the missing husband which would be my great great great grandfather ?

I am looking for proof that John H. Brooks was the son of Hezekiah Brooks. John should be listed in the his father's guardianship papers but the TV archives could not find the papers. We have pages from William H. Reeds book but not the ones that pertain to John H. Brooks. If you have any proof sharing it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

You might try Georgia or other surrounding states as the state lines were changing some as people moved farther west. One family I found lived in 3 states in the same year and never moved.
I don’t know why the state of Tennessee did not help you but I have it in my archives A 1848 land transaction with John H Brooks of Claiborne  County Tennessee sells land to Levi Brooks and it states that it is land that was inherited from their father Hezekiah Brooks now deceased. It is witnessed by Mary J Brooks (his sister)which also was in the original land deed along with Levi Brooks. This information can be found in the land transaction books of Claiborne County Tennessee.
